Caloundra is a beach town just to the north of Brisbane.At the time I was getting my head around the fact that the local colour is affected both by the colour of the light (sun moon stars or artificial source) and by the colour of the sky. Here we see the mauve of late afternoon reflected in the mirror surface of the wet sand,the instant before the water sinks into it.
