Just an enjoyable piece of nonsense I enjoyed enormously. I need to take the pressure off somrtimes and just have fun and bugger the conseqences.
Back to work
Sometimes I am amazed by my own stupidity. White objects under a green light look just like green objects under a white light.
spirit dance (study)
A Foucault silence. What is absent from my landscapes is the people. Terra Nullius. So maybe the spirits can dance. Paint the body paint, not the body.
Portrait workshop with Robert Hannaford. Refer to my blog.
Another study of the pergamon wrestlers, from a tiny replica cast in resin. The bounced light on the torso of the upper figure is key to the image. Its not accurate, but its painted. I am trying to escape being a prisoner of the line.
From Cobby Farm Nanango.
Digital painting using I-pad Brushes. Starting to get the idea of manipulating Hardness and Intensity , transparency and colour, all simultaneously. Funny, when we do this with paint, it doesn't seem so complicated
considerable reworking of lights in fawn and grey
Waterhole at Kundulomdulom
Now I have found a way to enlarge my tetrachrome jungle acrylics. The next phase is to include the "little animals"
There is a naturalness about this I really like. What does a nude do?
Found a way to enlarge the little jungle pictures I did in cairns. The chisel foam brushes in an acrylic grisaille helps. So many tiny changes after I thought it was finished. Move on, I have ffound a way to paint like a barbarian.
Think I have found an image of Balanda as alien.
Near Winton Maybe
The possums had spent years climbing up and along, so it needed a new sky.
Another go at purple. The light this time
Really difficult to photograph. Done in a day! Yay!
one little animal refreshes herself in the pool, and calls for a mate
A tetrachrome painting. The real surprise to me was the green glaze over black.
