Go to Gallery: 78 Black Bananas The bunch of bananas was again hung outside the back door and kept announcing itself. I had done the ripe ones on a black background. The idea of black on black appealed, but the back on yellow, like a traffic sign, appealed even more. It would dominate any room it was hung in. 2012-12-31  Go to Gallery: 68 Black Bananas Preliminary study for painting. Used charcoal pencil for the deepest blacks, then into graphite pencils. Had to use fine point ink pen to get textures and crisp outlines. This took three days to do, with halfritis setting in. Although pleased with the result, I have this odd feeling I didnt do it. 2012-12-12  Go to Gallery: 59 "ladies and Gentlemen, Miss Berie Page" Only trouble is, her face is not Bertie's.
